Festival of Women in the Arts...

...is a community collaboration between the Cantata Singers, area schools, and cultural organizations that takes place throughout the entire month of March, Women's History month.

Included in the festival are academic and cultural collaborators who offer a variety of creative and artistic events at their own venues throughout Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler County. Events include concerts, theater, dance, visual art, lectures, poetry and other literature readings.

The 2010 festival was filled with excellent performances and amazing gallery shows. Hundreds of performers, artists, poets, and more were enjoyed by thousands of area residents.

As the festival coordinators and sponsors, the Cantata Singers are already laying the ground work for the 2011 Festival of Women in the Arts. If you would like to be involved as a collaborating performer, artist or venue, or as a sponsor, advertiser or financial contributor please contact us at cantatasingers@ymail.com for more information.
